For each Graduate School the candidates can find information regarding the study programs, the number of places and scholarships available, the criteria for the evaluation of qualifications (if provided), the dates for admission exam sessions, the possibility of choosing to take the exams in a foreign language and any other information in Attachment 1, published in the University’s Official Register (Albo Ufficiale dell’Ateneo) and at: www.univr.it (Research – National and International Doctoral Programs – The Research Doctorate at Verona University)..
SCHOLARSHIP
The amount granted for a scholarship is € 13.638,47 per year (gross) and will be increased in situations stipulated by law. The scholarship is exempt from IRE (personal income tax).
The scholarship will be granted for the entire duration of the Doctoral program (three years) and the instalments will be paid monthly on the 30thday of each month. The first instalment of January 2011 will be paid at the end of the same mouth ONLY IF within the deadline set for December 20th, 2010 students will be correctly enrolled in our programmes and will have submitted all the necessary documentation required. The scholarship will be increased of 50% during authorised study periods abroad. Should the student be suspended or excluded from the Doctoral Program, the scholarship will be granted just
for the period in which he/ she attended it.
The PhD scholarships cannot be summed with any other scholarships to which the student is entitled, except those granted by national or foreign institutions used to integrate research with foreign study leave, training activities or scholar research.
In the total number of scholarships assigned by the University:
– 14 scholarships, two for each Graduate School, will be assigned for the collaboration with foreign Universities and include a period of study and research in the Partner University with the possibility to obtain, at the end of the doctoral program, a double or joint PhD degree or the release of the “Doctor Europaeus” certification,
– 7 scholarships, one for each Graduate School, will be exclusively assigned to foreign candidates,
– 20 scholarships will be funded by the “Fondazione Cariverona”,
– and several scholarships will be funded by private or public bodies or by the departments of the Verona University.
